GAT – Guide Alpine Torino

Here at GAT we are not only an équipe of mountain’s professionals.
Here at GAT we are a roped party in which the city of Torino and its alpine guides explore and
conquer together the outdoor, ranging from climbing to trekking, alpinism, alpine skiing and vertical
ice.

An adventure we love and take on every day, getting ourselves involved with maximum
competence, passion and resources to gift each and everyone of you the broader choice of
activities and the greatest service.

No beaten path, no predetermined formula
Each customer is different, just like the path or road or route we’ll hike together. To achieve that
detailed maps or defined itineraries are not enough. What we require, that we'd like to share with
you, is love for the mountain, an essential gear to create, organize and actual I respect unique
experiences, tailored for you.

Marco Appino - Umberto Bado

Mountain Guides

Mountains as a common denominator for a friendship in the first place and a business after.
What started as shared upwards hiking and a desire for adventures and days in the mountains,
turned into the common desire of a career that could blend together the love for the mountains with
the desire to share the passion for alpinism with whomever would get tied with us.
We turned into Aspiring Alpine Guides first and Alpine Guides and Masters of Alpinism later.
Project GAT -Guide Alpine Torino- saw the light in 2016 to promote the alpine guides in Torino and
beyond.
This project aims to make the mountain world more accessible to those who never experienced it
but are intrigued and in the same time to empower the expert alpinist to find its guide for the
hardest destinations.
GAT- Guide Alpine Torino boils it down our way to experience the mountain in two words: safety
and fun. We, Marco and Umberto and the GAT staff guides firmly believe that mountain -lived with
the highest possible security standards- can be fun for all of you looking for an extra dash of
adventure!

Roberto Coggiola

Moutain Guide

I was born in Chivasso in 1970 and now live in Valperga Canavese. I'm Alpine Guide since 2006,
year in which my passion for the mountain in all its aspects, turned into a profession. Helicopter
rescue specialist and regional instructor at the national department for Alpine rescue and
Speleology.
I started to spend time in the mountain with the CAI after bicycle racing for several years. During
my activity I walked several itineraries on the whole alpine arch and the Gran Paradiso mountains
are the ones I love the most.
Sharing my love and knowing of the mountains with others allow my alpine guide job to be
enthusing.

Teodoro Bizzocchi

Moutain Guide

Born in 1982 in Pollone, country of mountaineers and explorers in the Alps of Biella, I walk with curiosity any place where there are mountains, looking for the most suitable and fascinating tools to climb them and … come down … alone or accompanying children or adults.

In the seasons that Nature wants to be left more tranquil, I carry out the activity of craftsman as a woodcutter using the skills professions of the field of work in rope (Trainer qualified by the National College of Alpine Guides).

In spite of my university studies in the environmental field, I prefer to stay … with the wind jacket rather than stay in office.
